PRP & PRF
The non-surgical path to living pain free
Platelet-rich plasma, (PRP) is a safe, cutting-edge therapy commonly used to treat many types of injuries or degenerative diseases. PRP contains a concentration of powerful growth factors extracted from your own blood. Your body uses these growth factors to repair injured and degenerated tissues.
We are excited to now offer PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)—a next-level advancement in regenerative medicine. Think of it this way: if PRP is a trusted smartphone, PRF is the upgraded model with more advanced features. Both are excellent choices, but PRF takes natural healing to the next level.
PRP/PRF is now one of the most studied Regenerative Medicine techniques out there and as such has proven to be effective in not only eliminating chronic pain, but healing the root cause of it.
PRP/PRF delivers the essential building blocks to repair injured or degenerated tissue. Areas with poor blood flow, like cartilage, ligaments, and discs, often struggle to heal on their own. By providing vital growth factors directly to these sites, PRP/PRF enables joints, ligaments, and cartilage to recover—eliminating chronic pain without surgery or medication. Even severe issues respond with amazing, long-term results.

The Treatment Process
The treatment process is simple as you can see below. We draw the patient’s blood, centrifuge it to separate out the PRP/PRF, it goes through a unique concentration and filtration process. It is then simply injected with a very small needle intramuscularly into the affected area. There is no down time, very little discomfort with the treatment, and the healing process starts immediately. We then typically follow this treatment with something called an Ozone Injection which is used to further stimulate the healing process.
Step
1
Collecting Blood
A small amount of blood (generally one tube full) is drawn from the patient’s arm.

Step
2
Separating platelets, white blood cells, and fibrin into plasma
The blood is centrifuged at a specific speed and time and is filtered to isolate millions of platelets, fibrin, and white blood cells within your blood plasma. This means the only products injected are from you!

Step
3
Platelet-Rich Plasma/Fibrin
The patient’s own platelet-rich plasma/fibrin is now prepared for treatment.

Step
4
Patient’s own PRP/PRF is used
The prepared PRP/PRF is injected intramuscularly into the patient’s affected area. There is no down time, very little discomfort with the treatment, and the healing process starts immediately! Since we do everything “in house”, the entire process only takes around 30 minutes.

Step
5
Follow-up Ozone (O3) injection
Not all patients need this step but for those with chronic issues (arthritis, disc issues, long-term pain…) this step helps to ensure the healing process continues and that the PRP/PRF promotes long-term healing. We usually do this around 1 week after the PRP/PRF treatment. (For those patients traveling from out of state we do them both in the same visit.) See below for a more detailed explanation of why we combine PRP/PRF with ozone.

What Have We Successfully Treated
With PRP?
Most people assume that their condition or issue is too progressed or advanced for PRP to have any affect. Most of the time that is not true. PRP can be extremely effective for minor or acute issues, but where it really has an amazing impact is the chronic, degenerative issues like joint arthritis, disc issues in the neck or back, sciatic issues…we have had patients in wheelchairs because of chronic back issues and joint issues that are able to walk again and at least 90% of patients that have been scheduled for surgery have ended up canceling surgery and continue to do great. We have also helped patients still suffering with pain after a surgery with great success.
PRP Injections Restore & Heal:
- Shoulder Joints
- Knee Joints
- Hip Joints
- Ankles
- Wrists
- TMJ
- Sciatic Pain
- Disc Pain
- Nerve Pain
- Headaches
- Back Pain
- Neck Pain
- Arthritis
PRP vs PRF: What’s the Difference?
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma): Concentrated healing cells suspended in liquid.
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin): Healing cells combined with a natural fibrin scaffold, creating a slow-release gel.
This makes PRF more like a time-release capsule compared to PRP’s quick-dissolving effect. The result? A longer, more sustained healing response.
Why PRF is Generating Excitement
Extended Healing Release
PRF delivers growth factors gradually, supporting tissue repair for days to weeks after treatment.
100% Natural
PRF requires no additives or chemicals—only your blood is used.
Longer-Lasting Results
Many patients report pain relief and improved function for 18–24 months or more.
Gentle and Effective
The fibrin gel cushions the injection site, often leading to less post-procedure soreness compared to PRP.
How PRP/PRF Injections work in conjunction with Ozone (O3)
Not only are we able to boast about the quality and effectiveness of the PRP we are using, we are also one of the few clinics that combine PRP injections with something called an Ozone injection. Both are very different in what they do but both work together to help ensure the area fully heals.
When you have chronic pain, weather it is joint pain, back pain, sciatic pain…the longer that issue is there the more the body gets used to it which causes that pain to be the “new normal”. This means the healing process stops. The purpose of the ozone injection is to stimulate the healing process and since the area already has the building blocks needed to heal (which is what the PRP provides), stimulating the healing process with ozone ensures the body uses the PRP and that the area continues to heal.

Why Do Patients Fly to Our Location From Out of State?
Your body uses these growth factors to repair injured and degenerated tissues. Using a specialized process we are able to treat damaged joints and areas of chronic pain with these growth factors resulting in joint healing (even cartilage regeneration), disc healing, and the elimination of chronic pain. Results are similar to that of Stem Cell injections, only much easier and much less expensive. When used by the skilled physicians at Aspire Health and Wellness PRP/PRF is a viable alternative to surgery and an effective treatment for the causes of chronic pain.
This is why we have had so many patients able to prevent and even cancel surgeries and why many fly here from out of state for treatment.
Not All PRP Is Equal
With the meteoric rise in popularity of regenerative medicine procedures such as PRP injections, there is much misinformation and confusion regarding the more in-depth aspects of the subject matter. For instance, most people that hear about PRP are under the impression that all PRP injections are alike in how they are processed and delivered. Not to mention, most people also think that all regenerative medicine healthcare providers are equally competent in their knowledge of regenerative medicine and their procedural training. However, this is not the case. Not all PRP is equal and not all regenerative medicine providers are equal.
The quality of PRP/PRF is based on three main factors:
1. The concentration of platelets and the concentration of white blood cells and fibrin
2. The formation of a fibrin matrix
3. All processes done in a completely closed system.
These three steps set apart our PRP treatment from other clinics in that instead of a minimum concentration of platelets, our system allows a maximum concentration of platelets, including white blood cells and fibrin (which is PRF) which allows a much more complete and long-term healing.
This is why we get lasting results where other clinics fail and why patients fly from out of state to receive treatment.

What to expect with PRP/PRF and ozone
Because the goal of PRP/PRF and Ozone is to resolve pain through healing and not just mask symptoms (like a Cortisone injection), it generally proves to have lasting results. Initial improvement may be seen within a few days to weeks depending on what needs to be healed, gradually increasing as the healing progresses. Research studies and clinical practice have shown PRP/PRF injections to be very effective at relieving pain and returning patients to their normal lives. Both ultrasound and MRI images have shown definitive tissue repair and even new cartilage growth after PRP/PRF therapy, confirming the healing process. The need for surgery can also be greatly reduced by treating injured and worn out tissues and joints with PRP/PRF.

Is PRP/PRF and ozone safe?
There are hundreds of research articles in peer reviewed medical journals showing the efficacy and safety of PRP/PRF and Ozone injections in the treatment of hundreds of ailments. PRP/PRF and Ozone, when administered properly, are both extremely safe because we are not using anything foreign to the body. We are using the patient’s own platelet concentrated plasma and ozone is a naturally occurring substance in the body. We are not using any medications or foreign chemicals so besides some possible discomfort at the injection site, there are generally no negative side effects.
